South American Heritage Sites

South America has 66 UNESCO heritage sites within 11 countries. The South American heritage sites are categorized by cultural heritage sites, Natural heritage sites, mixed heritage sites (mixed heritage sites means the sites are under natural heritage qualifications and cultural heritage qualifications together as one heritage site) and sites that are in danger list. Within the South American continent 19 Natural Heritage Sites, 41 Cultural Heritage Sites, 2 Mixed Heritage sites and 4 Heritage sites are under danger list.
